How do I access Simplified’s platform? Where’s the software?

A.

Simplified is a cloud-based platform integrated with top-tier national settlement service providers. All you need to access the platform is a compatible browser and an internet connection - that’s it! There is no software to download.

How much does it cost to use Simplified’s platform?

A.

Simplified charges for services that the lender actually orders; there are no monthly minimums, no quotas, and no exclusivity requirements for ordering with Simplified. Simply order the services you need, when you need them, at a great price. We believe that Simplified saves lenders time and money.

What are Simplified’s standard license fees or setup fees?

A.

There are no license fees, no setup fees, and no service charges for using any of Simplified’s national vendors. Sometimes a lender may pay a small transactional charge for accessing their local vendor’s services via Simplified’s platform; this covers our costs for importing and accessing the services of vendors who have not integrated with Simplified. But that’s it – simply log on via your favorite internet browser and start ordering settlement services the easy way.

How will lenders be invoiced for services?

A.

Depending on the services a lender orders, most services are directly invoiced by Simplified, on one bill, at the end of each month. There are some services that the vendor must, by regulation, invoice lenders directly (such as credit reports, etc.), and of course if a lender orders from their local vendors instead of Simplified, the cost for those services may not be included with Simplified’s monthly invoice

Is Simplified audited? Does Simplified have a SOC report?

Simplified has passed its SSAE 16 Service Organization Control (SOC) 1, (Type 1) audit as of November 30, 2014. The audit was conducted to assess the integrity and design of the internal controls (policies, procedures, and technologies) implemented and practiced by Simplified’s vendor management program.

Simplified’s SOC 1 report is available for review upon request, after filling out a short Nondisclosure Agreement for our lawyers, of course.

How long has Simplified been in business?

Simplified formed in the spring of 2014, but the majority of our team and investor group have been working together on the technology behind the Simplified platform since 2012. Also, the Simplified management team collectively has more than 75 years of combined industry experience.

Is the ordering platform new? Has it been tested?

A.

The technology behind the Simplified platform was designed from the ground up in collaboration with more than 250 lenders. The platform technology has already processed thousands of service orders from over 250 lenders since 2013.
